









Dr. Dale E. Scanlon attended Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as an undergraduate. After graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor of Art degree in Physics, he attended Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated in 1987 with a degree in Dental Medicine. In 2000, Dr. Scanlon completed additional studies at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude.


He became the director of the Dental Care Center at University City located at 34th and Market Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Scanlon has been on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
In January, 2005, Dr. Scanlon opened his office in the Oaklands Corporate Center in Exton, Pennsylvania. In July, 2005 Dr. Scanlon was awarded a Fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry at the annual meeting in Washington, DC for his extensive continuing education in dentistry.
Dr. Scanlon began practicing general dentistry in 1987 and established private practices in Avoca, Pennsylvania and then in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. In 1996, Dr. Scanlon became associated with the University of Pennsylvania's Dental Care Network in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Exton Office offers state-of-the-art digital radiography, preventive and restorative dental services, including crown and bridge restoration and root canal therapy.
The Exton Office also offers several cosmetic dental services. Dr. Scanlon can provide a variety of tooth whitening procedures for the patient including take home kits and the in-office Zoom2! Whitening System. Dr. Scanlon is trained and certified in Invisalign®, the alternative to conventional braces to straighten teeth.
The office maintains convenient office hours and Dr. Scanlon is a preferred provider in many dental insurance plans.
Dr. Scanlon maintains current memberships with the Dental Society of Chester/Delaware Counties, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Scanlon and his wife, Laura, have two daughters, and are active in various community and school organizations.
